Why Choose Priority STD Testing in Canton?
Same Day Testing
We do not wish to misuse your valuable time. We provide our patients same day testing and make sure that the process, start to finish, is easy, hassle-free and quick. In fact, many patients are in and out of the testing facility in under a half hour. And, compared with various other services, we will never mail or fax your order to the facility. This means that you can be tested just as soon as your order is placed without needing to wait. And, of course, your private information will be kept secure and confidential throughout the entire process.
Every single step of the Priority STD Testing process is 100% discreet and confidential. We’ll never contact you directly without having your consent and neither our name, nor anything related to the services we offer, will ever appear on a bank or credit card statement. Additionally, as we function completely independent of insurance companies, no services or communication will ever be shown to your doctor.
When you’re requiring a test, you are entitled to sensitivity and privacy on the part of the testing facility as well as its personnel. We understand that going to a clinic or health department can be, on some levels, an awkward experience. We do not wish to make the testing process embarrassing or uncomfortable for you at all. At our private collection centers, nobody will know the reason for your visit and you will not be singled out for any reason.
Fast and Accurate Results
You do not have to wait around for weeks while your test results are processed. With our process, you’ll have your results in as little as 1 day after your initial visit. Additionally, all of our testing procedures are FDA approved and performed in CLIA certified laboratories, so you can be certain that your results are clear and conclusive. We strive for total accuracy when it concerns our patients’ results. As soon as your results are compiled, you’ll have the ability to easily access your information swiftly and securely through an encrypted login.
While other testing services might just provide you your results and send you on your way, we will not. For patients who test positive for chlamydia, gonorrhea, or trichomoniasis, our care counselors are standing by to discuss next steps. We’ll start by working with you to establish a phone consult between you and one of our physicians. No office visits are required. Medication is, in many cases, available the very same day and can be conveniently picked up at your pharmacy of choice.
Your doctor or public health care clinic might not always test you for all types of STDs. It is crucial to recognize which tests are available and which tests are right for you. Priority STD Testing offers comprehensive testing for diseases including HIV, oral herpes (HSV1), genital herpes (HSV2), chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and trichomoniasis. And our care counselors are on call to help you choose the tests that are right for you.
Can I switch STD testing sites?
Yes! Your lab order can be used at either Alexandria testing center, or at any Priority STD Testing center throughout Virginia. If you need to get tested in a different state after you’ve already placed an order, simply contact a care counselor.
How do I get my test results?
Your test results are accessible through a secure login unique to your order, updated 24 hours a day including partial results. Once your final results are available, you’ll be notified by email discreetly. Test results are expedited as a rush order and typically process just 24-72 hours after visiting the collection facility. If you have questions about your results or require a treatment consult, our care counselors are just a phone call away. Nothing will ever be sent to your home or healthcare provider to respect your privacy.
Are my results confidential?
Our process is 100% confidential and HIPAA compliant. Your lab order and results will never be disclosed to your healthcare provider or personal doctor. All personally identifiable information is kept secure and encrypted while ordering your test and getting your results online or by phone. We are in compliance with all state and federal regulations governing the reporting of positive test results to ensure you are not contacted in the event of a reactive test.
Do you offer treatment?
We offer treatment options for patients who test positive for chlamydia, gonorrhea, or trichomoniasis. If you receive a positive result, simply call and speak with a care counselor to schedule a phone consult with a physician. Medication can be called into your local pharmacy, and no office visit is needed. We are partnered with physicians at PWNHealth so treatment can be prescribed if appropriate in all states. You must have a positive result before treatment can be authorized. The physician consult fee is $65.
