Getting Tested in San Diego
Every STD test we offer is approved by the FDA and administered in CLIA certified laboratories by trained professionals. It’s our goal to provide complete and conclusive results for our patients and we spare no expense in doing so.
However, that shouldn’t imply that our process is slow. It’s not. Quite the contrary, actually. Our testing processes are quick and non-invasive and most patients are in and out of our testing facilities in less than a half hour. Once collected, a patient’s sample is sent via rush order to one of our labs for processing and results are compiled and sent back in as little as one business day.
In terms of finding an STD testing option in San Diego, you won’t find a more convenient option than one of our neighborhood testing centers. Simply order your STD test online and stop by the location most convenient to you during normal business hours.
Why Should San Diego Residents Get Tested?
STD rates are on the rise in San Diego and have been for several years now. According to San Diego County records1, San Diego County saw a 4.1 percent increase in chlamydia rates from 2018 to 2019 (686.3 cases per 100,000). Recent studies reveal that the overall rate of syphilis increased 7.0 percent in that same time frame (34.4 cases per 100,000). Also on the rise, gonorrhea cases increased by 3.1 percent (190.8 cases per 100,000 persons). The Centers for Disease Control2 reports that in 2019, San Diego-Carlsbad saw a record 22,920 new chlamydia cases. With statistics like these, we cannot stress enough the importance of practicing safe sex and getting the proper tests when appropriate.
How Much Will It Cost?
The cost of testing depends on the type of sexually transmitted diseases and/or number of tests you’re wishing to have conducted. Our individual tests (Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Herpes I/II, HIV 1, HIV 2, Syphilis, and Trichomoniasis) run between $49 and $109 each. We also offer a twin panel test for chlamydia and gonorrhea which costs $129 (a savings of $49) as well as an all-in-one ten-panel test which costs $198 (a savings of $405). For a complete list of test options, visit our “Tests & Pricing” page.

Questions?
We know this can be a lot to take on. We also understand that every San Diego resident’s situation is different. It would be near impossible to cover everyone’s bases in just a few short sentences, so it’s perfectly fine to ask questions when it comes to sexually transmitted diseases, your sexual health and personal well-being. For this reason, our care counselors are available by phone or online chat should you have any questions or concerns or just want someone to help guide you in the right direction.
